About Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade

Peterborough Volunteer Fire Brigade are the UKs only voluntary fire brigade. This very unique organisation has been in service since 1884 and have remained a charity ever since, operating alongside Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service. The brigade functions by volunteers who train weekly, respond and contribute to the safety and care of their community, all around their full time employment. Responding to 999 calls, hosting open days and working alongside other community groups such at The Scouts, Beavers and cubs, as well as a number of Peterborough Primary Schools, volunteering with PVFB is an incredible opportunity and one which enriches and encourages personal growth, within a caring and supportive team.
