Volunteer Driver

You will load the vehicle following a checklist to ensure you have everything the team needs and transport it to the allocated location in good time, unloading and helping the team to set up. If you are helping with the pack-down process you will ensure you arrive at the location to assist the team in loading everything up from the session and return it as appropriate.

*Please note you need to be age 30+ to drive our vehicles.

What's expected from you:

As a volunteer driver, you will be expected to:

• Represent Magpas Air Ambulance in a respectful and friendly manner.
• Understand the work of Magpas Air Ambulance to secure basic knowledge and enthusiasm for our service.
• Wear your Magpas Air Ambulance ID badge while volunteering, ensuring it's visible at all times.
• Hold a full UK driving license.
• Read and agree to Magpas Air Ambulance Volunteer Drivers Policy.
• Complete an induction on our company vehicles where appropriate.
• Follow all Magpas Air Ambulance policies and procedures, including reporting any accidents and incidents.
• Recognise, respond to, and report any safeguarding issues or concerns.

When using your personal vehicle:

• It must be road-worthy with up-to-date road tax and MOT certificate where appropriate.
• You must hold fully comprehensive insurance.

When using a Magpas Air Ambulance vehicle:

• You must inform staff of any issues with the vehicle.
