Detailed description

Fen Hands is a community group working towards a charity registration. Fen Hands is growing and knowing there are more families out there who can benefit we are needing to grow our team. We are looking for the right people to help with the monthly sessions which are ran at The Eastrea Centre. They are on a Saturday and run between 10:30-13:00, the team are on site from 10:00-13:30, you'd be needed to set up and clean down. Set up will include putting out tables and chairs, craft activities, sport activities and the sensory space. Cleaning down will consist of cleaning down all the surfaces after everything is put away and storing in a safe location. The opportunity will suit someone looking to go into childcare or healthcare, gaining the additional awareness and knowledge of children with complex disabilities and the families struggles with this. DBS checks will be completed before start date.

Fen Hands has brought together a community who have felt isolated and alone. Families aim to attend Fen Hands throughout their busy schedules as they feel they have gain so much from attending. To be a part of the team to move this service forward will give you so much pride.

About Fen Hands

We support children with long term complex physical disabilities and their families. We run monthly sessions on a Saturday, providing inclusive activities and a safe space for all the family. We have launched Holiday Fridays, this runs only through the school holidays throughout the year. Fridays consist of a space where a targeted activity is provided for all the family to partake in. It also includes a trip to London.

Supporting our families in any which way possible is our primary aim. If we are unable to do it in house they are redirected or referred to the appropriate source.
