A community festival for Peterborough at Ferry Meadows
16th to 17th May 2026
Back for its fifth year, this free-to-attend weekend festival promises to be another fabulous celebration of our city and all the reasons we love it - our culture, our music, our diversity and our talented communities.
This year we're linking up with the National Year of Reading and will fill our festival with stories - not just in books but in music, poetry, performances, our communities and in everyone's lives and experiences. Join us to tell your story!
And of course, you’ll still find all the things you love about the festival - world food vendors, a lively bar, amusements, local craft stalls and plenty of surprises around every corner.
Mark your calendars and keep an eye here for more updates over the coming weeks. We can’t wait to celebrate our city and stories with you!
In the meantime if you are a performer, food vendor, would like to have a stall or would just like to find out more about how you could get involved with your community, please email [email protected]

CITB supported Sacrewell Farm on 04 July. Stacey Smith said " We had a great time at Sacrewell."
CITB did lots for the animal village in preparation of its grand opening on 16 th August.
Stacey and her team painted all the rabbit houses and chicken coops, moved the chicken run and put soil on the chicken wire before moving the rabbit runs into situ.
Sacrewell's Livestock Team Lead, Liane, said “It was incredible to see the team from CITB take time out of their busy schedules to volunteer with us for the day. Their dedication was invaluable in helping us create the brand-new Animal Village at Sacrewell, where the public can walk through and get up close to our lovely chickens, rabbits, pig residents plus much more. On behalf of myself and the entire team at Sacrewell, we extend our heartfelt thanks for their amazing help.
If a company or organisation would love to take time out of their ‘normal’ everyday life and volunteer with us, please get in contact at [email protected] .”
